Don't Stand for the Delay of the Trial of a Suspected War Criminal
On July 14, 2008, the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) told the Court that there is evidence to charge Sudan's President, Omar al-Bashir, with ten counts of war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide. Yet, when the United Nations Security Council reconvenes this September, it may vote on a Resolution to delay the trial against al-Bashir for up to one year.
Help Arrest Those Wanted for War Crimes in Darfur
Despite the International Criminal Court’s issuance of arrest warrants in May 2007 for two Sudanese men, Ali Kushayb and Ahmed Haroun, for ordering and committing war crimes in Darfur, they continue to live and work freely in Sudan. Send a letter to the UN Security Council and tell them to ensure that these men are arrested and brought to The Hague for trial.
